We have seen projects that have made it possible to reduce consumption, renew equipment, optimise processes and take important steps towards more efficient and competitive industries. For many companies, these grants have not only been financial support, but the necessary boost to carry out investments they had been waiting to undertake for some time.
And it is no coincidence that many other companies were waiting for this new call. They were waiting for it because energy costs remain a real concern, because many facilities need to be updated in order to work more efficiently, and because any improvement that helps reduce consumption has a direct impact on the company’s daily profitability. What type of projects can benefit from IVACE 2026 grants

Which investments should not be confused with this line
It is important to be clear that this call does not subsidise just any energy investment. Its objective is energy efficiency, not the installation of renewable energy systems.
For example, renewable energy installation projects are not part of this line. This is relevant because many companies immediately think of solar panels when talking about energy. In this case, solar panels should be analysed through other channels or grant lines that may be a better fit, but not within this specific call for energy efficiency in companies.
This difference is important in order not to waste time or prepare the wrong application dossier. Generating renewable energy is one thing; reducing the energy consumption of an installation through more efficient equipment, control, automation, refrigeration improvement or replacement of consuming equipment is another.

Grant amount and main limits
IVACE 2026 grants are structured as non-repayable subsidies. The general maximum amount may reach 35% of the eligible cost, with possible increases for medium-sized and small companies.
In addition, the maximum grant per project may reach 400,000 euros, and the grant awarded to the same company may not exceed 800,000 euros.
It should also be taken into account that only projects with eligible investment above 10,000 euros are considered. This makes the call interesting both for specific improvement actions and for larger-scale projects within an industrial plant.
The key lies in correctly calculating which part of the investment is eligible, what energy savings it generates and how it is technically justified.
Do not start before applying
Another fundamental aspect is that the actions must not have started before the date on which the grant application is registered.
This means that the company must be especially careful before accepting orders, starting work, contracting actions or executing investments. In this type of call, the order of the steps matters.
First, the project must be reviewed, the documentation prepared, the application submitted and, from that point onwards, action must be taken in accordance with the conditions of the call.
